Worst, Unprofessional Movers & Packers - NoBroker
We used NoBroker's Movers & Packers service for relocating home goods within Bangalore City.
Living as tenants, we keep on changing homes within the city at frequent intervals.
This time, we used NoBroker, and it was our most painful experience ever.
Issue 1:
The staff were extremely unprofessional, rude, and weren't cooperating at all.
Issue 2:
We paid add-ons for dedicated packing (bubble wrap) of delicate items such as:
- Refrigerator
- AC Unit
- Washing machine
- TV unit
- Queen Size Cot - 1
- Microwave
NoBroker staff quoted extra charges (addons) for bubble wrapping on specific items mentioned above, for which add-on charges were being made by us.
However, the on-field packer team leader was not interested in doing dedicated packing for all listed items.
His team initially avoided packing with bubble wrap but later on insisted they pack the items they wanted to, not the listed items.
So we made our first complaint to the NoBroker team.
Some other silly issues
- Movers & packers didn't want to transport liquid products such as shampoo, cooking oil, toilet cleaner, etc. as it may damage their cartons.
- They didn't transport our 5 plant pots, as it was not mentioned while booking.
Issue 3:
Moving staff started mishandling items after issue #2.
On reaching our destination, we found that many of the items had been damaged due to mishandling.
First, we told field staff, but they didn't pay heed to our complaint.
So we made another complaint to NoBroker.
Issue 4:
There were two trucks. The first truck was parked near the entrance of the building, which is not allowed, but security guards were doing lunch and didn't object, so they did the unloading of the first truck at that place.
However, while unloading the second truck, the security guard stopped them and asked them to park the truck at the designated parking space (which is less than 15 meters from the lift);
The moving staff were not interested in doing so, so they stopped the unloading and rudely demanded to park their vehicle at an unauthorised place near the entrance of the building, otherwise they would not unload.
Now we have made another complaint to NoBroker.
After getting another complaint, they were pissed off.
Now the owner/manager of the moving company called in to one of their staff phones and told us they were not going to deliver the product and were taking back the truck to their office, just because we had made several complaints.
Also asked: "Jo karna hai karlo, we are not delivering goods".
Issue 5:
We made another complaint to NoBroker in a phone call; the customer executive held a conference with all parties, and the owner of the Packer/Mover company falsely accused us that we beat their field staff.
A NoBroker employee believed their false story and blamed us for beating their staff.
Even the witness, a security guard who was present at all times, gave his testimony that "no one has touched anyone, and the staff are falsely accusing the customer," but the NoBroker team believed the story cooked up by their moving company.
And NoBroker stopped the communication.
Now packers started trucking and started leaving the society complex.
Thanks to strict security compliances by society, the truck was stopped immediately, and it was not allowed to leave the complex. They created a ruckus in the society.
We pleaded, begged, and cried foul.
After a lot of pleading and negotiation, the movers agreed to deliver with the following conditions:
- Withdraw all complaints registered with NoBroker.
- Pay 5,000 rupees extra in cash.
We agreed to the demand since our mediator, NoBroker, was not paying heed to our pleas, and we are caught between options that are not in our favor.
They unloaded the goods and completed the delivery.
After delivery, we just paid the quoted service amount through Digital Method.
We refused to take the complaint back and didn't pay the extra amount demanded.
Since this is a gated society, workers in the society (security guards, property manager, etc.) helped us overcome the situation.
However, we got threatened: "Society ke bahar mil, dekh lenge."
If we had not moved into a gated society, it would have been very difficult to get our belongings back.
issue sorted (as of now) with a full day of harassment.
We took service from NoBroker to get better and more reliable service, but in return, we got unprofessional service, a lot of damaged items, harassment, mental torture, humiliation, rowdism, blackmail, and had to beg and cry for our own belongings.
This is our sorrow. NoBroker wasn't even interested in hearing our side as they believed their channel partner's false story; they didn't even help get our goods delivered and stopped communication after a point of time.
We wanted to share our tragedy with a wide audience so that people don't fall further into the graveyard made by NoBrokers.
